Season 8 Patch Notes

Live patch notes for Season 8.
Chase Zones
- Chase locations for Heroic Items are better balanced and scrambled.
- Added zone item pools (for example: Chaos Tower).
- Increased monster density in weaker zones.
Unholy Siege
- Zones can have an active battlefield with summoning portals.
- Portals spawn swarms of monsters with special modifiers.
- Monsters from this mechanic can drop Tarot Cards used to craft various things.
Essence Vault
- Unstable Rifts and Shrine Monsters now drop Essence Vaults in Hell+ difficulty.
- Execute the contract to open the vault and receive a large loot explosion based on vault affixes.
- Vaults are tradable and can be sold on the market at any time.
- Essence vaults come as Superior, Rare, Mythic, Satanic, Heroic, Angelic and Unholy rarities. Rarity increases the amount of affixes, affix power but also increases the demand of the Essence Vaults soul contract.
Inferno
- Inferno now unlocks after you kill mevius on hell 5
- Wormhole moved to inferno
Blood Pact
- Blood Pact stash is now usable at the same time, no more needing to wait
- Added an individual chat for each pact
- You can now invite multiple people to a pact at once
- Your stash is now shared between your own characters in pacts
- Pact leader can now promote members to admins who can kick or invite people to the pact
Mercenary
- Mercenary can now additionally use Gloves, Belt and Boots
Loot Filter
- New and improved loot filter which can also filter different affix tiers for common items, better readability, functionality etc.
- You can now choose to highlight specific tier of affixes and choose the highlighted loot color!
- Players can now save and load filters they have created, filters are synced into your account and can be imported to your character or exported for distribution or safekeeping.
- Players can filter items now based on socket amount
- Added a keybind to bypass the filter when held
- Custom color for highlighted items(found in options)
Titles
- You can now unlock titles by doing certain stuff ingame. Titles are shown by your name
Drop Sounds
- Added a bunch of new drop sounds for various item types and rare items
- Rare item drop sounds are now louder and more noticeable
Quests
- WANTED: Shadow Reaper quest awards 15 random Tarot Cards, 25k experience and 10k gold.
- WANTED: Sung Lee quest awards 15 random Tarot Cards, 25k experience and 10k gold.
- WANTED: Chaos Tower quest awards 15 random Tarot Cards, 25k experience and 10k gold.
- WANTED: Damien quest awards 15 random Tarot Cards, 25k experience and 10k gold.
- Codex of Eternity quest awards 15 random Tarot Cards, 25k experience and 10k gold.
- The Fall of Darkness quest now unlocks the 5th relic slot
- The Light of Dawn quest now unlocks one additional charm slot
- Quest Reward low runes lowered to max Nut
- Quest Reward mid runes lowered to max Lem
- Quest Reward high runes lowered to max Jah
- Luna quest rerolling by abusing another difficulty is removed. The new quest will delete the quest on other difficulties.
- Main quest on normal is now sliced per act, so you dont need to complete all quests in every act to do the next acts quests
Uber Boss Portal
- You now gain a portal with 5 charges that can be used if you die on a uber boss to get back to the boss room. After the fifth time the portal is destroyed.
- Using Circle Of Hatreds main portal now resets the zone. (So you don't have to reset the game when farming multiple Gabriels).
Skins and Paid content
- Added ancient+ monster death effect MTX, each have unique art and sounds
- Added Explosion Spell skin MTX changing the visual look on all explosions you cause.
- Added Chainlightning Spell skin MTX changing the visual look on all chain lightning skills you unleash (non traveling chains only).
- Added Tarot themed skins for Demonspawn, Bard, Illusionist, Paladin, Samurai and Shaman
General
- Hell 1-5 scaling increased drastically.
- Inferno scaling increased massively
- Optimized hit effects when striking monsters with skills or attacks, should improve performance greatly.
- Skill Opacity for Self and Others now also affects overlaying buff effects on the player.
- Added options keybinds for Vote Reset and Loot Filter
- You can now hide monsters from minimap (massive performance increase)
- You can now open sub skill trees without having a point in the skill
- Re-worked the crafting UI for better visual feedback, now also shows material names when hovering.
- Re-worked the market UI for better visual feedback.
- Optimized network packet handling when damaging monsters etc to unload pressure from the server
- Unique Stash tab now shows Set item color correctly
- Wormholes now have a chance per level to roll an extra affix on the monster packs + wh 35 and wh 70 increase +1 ancients in a pack
- Bans from PAS anti-cheat are now shown in the global chat. Cheating should result in shaming.
- You can now quickbind skill loadouts (defaulted to left shift + 1/2/3/4)
- Improved chat text visibility
- Rogue Chaos Tower now spawns when you are close enough to its location, fixing the abuse.
- We have removed the community quest for now, it is irrelevant and pointless and needs redesigning.
- Removed from the unique stash system: All dev items, legacy bifröst ring, soulforged ring, the non existing scarred battle darts and novelty items like lemon.
- Added a quick filter system to tick D, C, B, A, S items from showing in the main interface.
- Companion no longer picks up random jewels (as they fill your inventory with trash)
- Added option to hide Dot combat texts (which is now hidden by default)
- Sending gold and items via mailbox is now disabled. Mailbox will remain for guild invites and possible item restorations, market etc.
- Added tags like "Orbital" and "Projectile" etc to all skills so we can have clear understanding what works for what and we can also create new items that only work for certain tags.
- Updated stash search function. You can now search with keywords/letters
- Added 4 MTX ancient monster death effects with unique sound effects
- You can now CTRL + SHIFT + Click to allocate all remaining points to an attribute
- Stat screen now has categories for each type of stats and shows most if not all the available stats from items
- Added option to always show tooltip when hovering item on the ground

Bosses
- All uber boss drop chances for a boss specific item nerfed to 8% - 12% - 16% - 20% - 24% on hell and 36% on inferno. All bosses got a massive magic find boost to them. Magic Find from uber bosses buffed from 1500% to 30000% (For Gabriel and Anubis 50000%)

- Inferno Sung Lee - Summon weapon: Cast time reduced 50%
- Buffed Luna´s damage by around 20%
- Buffed Luna´s Starshower and Star Wall Agony debuff from 100% to 150%
- Gurag´s Guards spawns 14 guards.
- Spawns 2 extra towers which disarm the player on hit.
- Spawns 2 extra bishops which disarm the player on hit.
- Disarm disables attacking and casting for 3 seconds."
- Spawns 4 smaller scythes moving faster.
- Soul Eruptions cast skulls 3 times and now freeze on hit.
- Death Coil skulls are 200% bigger."
- Meteor Storm is casted counter clockwise 4 times.
- Wall of Storm starts moving 0.5 seconds faster
- Wrath of Anubis falls 60% faster."
- Damien´s Masks are now Legion rarity
- Blood Surge cast delay is 0.15 seconds + AOE & Damage increased by 200%.
- Unleashing Agony projectiles now cover a 35% wider radius.
- Pools of Agony spawns 5 pools with 50% increased damage."
- Mega beam is now cast into 4 directions
- Zen Pools spawns 10 pools which are 50% bigger, have 50% more damage and freeze on hit.
- Balls of Doom monsters are Legion rarity."
- Lava Storm unleashes 3 trails that inflict burning on hit.
- Wall of Agony is now casted 3 times in a row inflicting burning on hit.
- Satan´s Hands are now Legion rarity"
- Portal Tentacles deal 200% damage.
- Portals spawn 4 nightmare priests.
- Tentacle Wall now spawned from both directions with increased speed. Damage buffed by 300% on all difficulties"
- Spawns 5 storm axes (Buffed storm axe damage by 200% on all difficulties)
- Spawns 3 shadow orbs with 50% increased damage.
- Huginn and Muninn are Legion rarity"
Monsters
- Fixed an issue where Colossal Pumpkin hit would be instant.
- Monsters that shatter after death dont proc death rattles (freeze, frozen)
- Nerfed wasp damage by 35%
- Nerfed Bloater Experience Globe given experience.from 800% per globe to [200%/225%/250%/300%] per globe. (based on difficulty)
- Increased the range of Experience Globe pickup
- Added new Affix > Divine > On death drops magic globes that provide a stacking magic find buff for 30 seconds
- Added new Affix > Shielding > Monsters have shield stacks depending on difficulty which take 1 tick from any damage source to remove, before they start taking damage. Shielding monsters have a base extra magic find of 875%
- Added new Affix > Fearless > Immune to crowd control
- Added a new Affix > Thick Skin > Immune to dots
- Added a new Affix > Antimagus > Can dodge spells
- Added a new Affix > Colossal > Big boi
- Added a new Affix > Stealthy > Immune to critical hits
- Monsters now have crowd control diminish, every stun etc lowers its effect by 25% on the next stun till it doesnt affect the mob anymore, resetting to 100% effectiveness after a 5 second cooldown.
- Monster inflicted stun and frozen attacks now also have diminish for the player by 25% per applied stun or frozen, at 0% renders the player immune for 3 seconds.
- Monster life scaling per player increased from 66% to (150% Normal, 135% Nightmare, 120% Hell, 105% Inferno) per player. Additionally added 5% increased monster damage per player in group.
- Physical damage from monsters reduced by 18% accross the board
- Lightning damage from monsters increase by 6% accross the board
- Added a Legion pack into Act 2 Zone 4
- Added a Legion pack into Act 2 Zone 5
- Added a Legion pack into Act 3 Zone 1

Chaos Pillars

Chaos Tower
- Chaos Tower reward chest now adds 16% per cleared tower chance to drop a heroic item when opened, surpassing 100% will add an extra item on top of the roll.
- Chaos Tower reward chest now adds 1% per cleared tower chance to drop an angelic/unholy item when opened, surpassing 100% will add an extra item on top of the roll.
- Chaos Tower Chest no longer cares about rakhul kills, only cleared towers.
Items
- 40% of SS tier item rolls are now for the zone specific Heroic chase items.
- Scrambled SS tier heroic item target farm locations
- Only Angelic and Unholy drops are now shown in the chat, Heroic and SS tier items still show in the ingame chat
- You can now prospect and dice flasks
- Flasks now show tier on ground
- Buffed the attack range of all follower relics
- Common items now show tiers for all rolled affixes from D to S
- You can now post corrupted items on market again, added [Corrupted] to the name, since you can now uncorrupt them using Prophet´s Wisdom
- "Extra damage to monsters with x ailment" no longer increases dot damage, it was intended to increase other damage dealt to it if it has an ailment, ailment damage is its own stat.
- You can now use tinkerers toolkit, empty sockets, reroll sockets, destroy sockets on codexes
- Keys now show the location of the dungeon in the item tooltip
- Changed Tinkerers Toolkit to 1x1 from 2x1
- Extra Damage to Ailments now applies only onces if any ailment is affecting the target.
- Unstable Dusts provide satanic crystal fragments or destiny shard fragments, buffed the amounts.
- Nerfed dex given critical damage from 0.125% to 0.1% per point.
- Buffed energy given base mana replenish from 0.145 to 0.175 per point.
- Buffed vitality given base life replenish from 0.1 to 0.125 per point.
- Crystal chests have a 1:250 chance to drop one of the 7 mystery hats.
- Light Radius now actually works and increases your base movement speed for 2% per point of Light Radius, or decreases it if in the negative.
- Crystal Key drop rate nerfed from 1:75 to 1:125
- Fixed Magnum Opus on Kadosh being broken
- Nuked additive damage effects
- Codexes now roll for extra pack size by default
- All unique flasks now have level requirement set to 1
- Liquor Holster level requirement set to 1
- Buffed Open Wounds damage from 20% to 50% of phys damage
- Clumped all extra damage multipliers in the same lump sum to nerf physical effects a bit
- You can no longer sell Keys, Materials, Collectibles or Socketables to the merchant. You can now prospect these items.
- Lowered Enchanted Sigil price to 200k
- Items now show only 1 prefix and 1 suffix on ground to stop the screen wide item names, prefix will always prioritize all skills affix over anything.
- Added a short delay to higher rarity drops so the player sees them before the companion just instapicks them up.
Codex
- Infernal Codexes now gain an additional buff and debuff, and with the new item "Essence of Chaos", you can add yet another buff and debuff to juice it further.
- Removed Codex of Goblin Horde and replaced it with Codex of the Card Collector which gives monsters a chance to drop Tarot Decks.
